We get another week closer to the Meet of Champions and the end of the 2012-13 school year.  So much to look forward to!  We will be filming the Holmdel Twilight Series: Night of 1600s at Holmdel HS on Thursday night, 5/16.  If it's anything like the Night of 3200s, watch out!  We will then film the Shore Conference Champs on Sat, 5/18.  We will not film any of the sectional champs but our plan is to try to get both state group championship sites and then do the Meet of Champions with an announcer like last year.  Hope you all follow along.

Early season championships are upon us.  We start it off by filming the Monmouth and Ocean County Championship meets.  Both are two day meets so we'll see a lot of doubles and great head-to-head match-ups.

We've finished the relay part of the season and now we go into the invitational/early championship season.  We start it off with the Night of 3200s this Friday night at Holmdel HS.  Last year saw the first 9 under 9:20 and an unbelievable 46 under 10:10 which included only 8 schools.  We expect to see more of that this year.

Since we have been looking at the Preview for the Meet of Champions, let's also look ahead at how the Group Champs team scoring has changed.  We also interview Paul Schwartz, sportswriter for the Record who proposed the new scoring method.  He takes us through why he proposed the change and what to expect.  We finish the week watching the Colts Neck Relays.

The first weekend is in the bank.  We continue the Season Previews for the boys and girls vertical jumps and then we hit the boys and girls throws.  By the weekend we'll complete the season previews with the relays.  What an exciting season it is going to be!!

We finish the Month of March with the boys distance preview.  You can see all of the previews so far by clicking any one of them.  The list of previews will be on the left side.  We have completed the sprints (100/200), the middle distance (400/800) and the distance (1600/3200).  We will continue this week with the hurdles and jumps before finishing with the throws and the relays next week.  In the middle, we will be filming the Summit Relays, this Sat, April 6th.  We will as always film every heat of every track event.

We're getting close to another season which means we need to create a little excitement.  So we start with the 2013 Spring Track Season Previews as we go by event area.  We start with the Girls Sprinters (100/200) and we'll go on from there.  We'll try to cover every event and mention the names you'll need to know if you want to stay up-to-date.  Of course, there will be some surprises when we hit June but that's what makes this sport so great!

After a needed break, we are back.  We start off March with clips from the 1st Shore Track Coaches Association Spring Track & Field Clinic.  We posted cameras around the bubble as there were six events going at a time.  We didn't have enough cameras to get them all but we got as much as we could.  We'll post them one day at a time until we finish what we have.

I have to apologize again.  We filmed the Meet of Champions without me but the cameraman got food poisoning during the boys 4 x 400 meter relays and missed the last 4 4 x 400's and the whole girls meet.  Since I was down in NC, I was unable to help.  Sorry to all of those who were waiting for those races.  The boys races are now up.

I want to apologize ahead of time.  Late Tuesday night, my stepfather, who raised me, had a stroke.  He died early Thursday morning with my brothers, sisters and myself at his bedside.  He was a wonderful man who I will miss.  I raced down to North Carolina early Wednesday morning and was unable to do a girls preview for the Meet of Champions.  We will be filming the Meet of Champions but I won't be back until later Sunday.  We'll get whatever we can uploaded on Sunday evening and the rest on Monday.  Good luck to all this Saturday!!!  Make this MOC as special as the past ones. 

Wow, what a weekend!  State Champs brings the best out of everyone and is just a taste of the big things to come at the Meet of Champions.  We'll be there to film every heat of every event.  In the meantime, enjoy every group, every event, every heat of a great group weekend.

The Track Show will be at the Toms River Bubble to film every heat of every track event for every State Indoor Track Championship.  We'll cover Non-Public A and B on Friday night, Groups I and IV on Saturday morning and since we'll be having so much fun, we'll be taping Group II and III Saturday afternoon/evening.  We'll be getting the races up as fast as we can.  I would guess we'll have everything up by Sunday evening.  We'll be back the next weekend to cover both sessions of the Meet of Champions.
